A Pigeon in My Mind
"A Pigeon in my Mind"
Turquoise Hexagon Sun was the first BoC track I ever heard, and I was immediately hooked on it like snorting lines of cocaine through my ears. The only way that track could be more of a banger would be by synthesizing it into a liquid form and injecting it like a drug. I'd synthesize every synthesizer from every BoC track into a synthetic liquid analogue and I'd use a syringe to siphon it up and stick it in; then I'd push it all the way through my skin into my vein. I'd shoot it up to feel no pain; to have no thoughts inside my brain. Inside my head; lying down, inside my bed. The room starts spinning like a DJ with a record; and this is why I can't keep my life together? Banging Canada's greatest bangers. Eventually, I'd have the entire BoC discography inside of me and I would keep track of each track by marking all the track marks and keeping all the tracks marked, then tracking every track I mark and marking every mark I track and keeping track of checking tracks and marking them with check marks.
I'm feeling more stimulated than anticipated and my heart is beating: syncopated. Why my eyes so pinned they dilated. Fuck, I'm faded.
When I introduced my girlfriend to BoC I told her that the music was made by a sound engineer and a psychologist. Too much time has passed since I told her this to come clean about making that up.
I don't know why I lied to her about that.
